Written by scientists it is hard read but worth it if you are interested in the subject and offers a more realistic account of things than many of the more modern Alternative Archaeology books.

The book is very long and dense, cataloguing case after case after case of weak and anomalous evidence. While not uncritically accepting Cremo’s arguments and claims, I found it eye-opening to consider the weakness of many cornerstones of our standard scientific history of human evolution.
