Kuldip Nayar had never spared anyone in the past. There is no point throughout the book i felt bored. As a political commentator, Nayar wrote his views freely on most politically current issues.

It might come across as a bit boring to we-need-sensationalism-or-atleast-judgements generation, but for anyone wanting to see political naayr of Modern India as a simple collection of memories and then let his own judgement run, this is going to be a very satisfying read.

A relevant book not only for people living in India, but on other side of divide too. He presents, Yasin Malik, the hard-line Hurriyat separatist who is responsible for the death of hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits, as a mild mannered, Gandhian who believes in democratic and peaceful protests.

A very good resource for anyone interested in the history of India of the bryond thirty years post independence. Nayar’s writing is pedestrian. Daily News and Analysis.
