Charlotte and Kieran are an endearing couple who fall slowly and deeply in love, although their relationship lacks the intense chemistry and emotion that characterized Emmaline and Aeric in Cruel Enchantment.

He doesn’t want to torture her for the magical pieces. The conclusion is heartbreaking enchantmennt tense as drk factions are willing to do anything to get their hands on the bosca fadbh.

I’m now officially hooked. Accountant Charlotte Bennett is terrified and furious when brooding Unseelie Fae Kieran Aimhrea uses irresistible magic to draw her to the magical city of Piefferburg, hoping her ancestral memories will open the city’s wards and free the Fae.

Actually had a ending, woot! Charlotte was raised by her father to hate all fae.

Dark Enchantment by Anya Bast | : Books

These books are interesting and a new take on the Enchzntment genre where the Fae are known to the human world, not only do they face their own prejudices, Seelie vs Unseelie but they are imprisoned together in Piefferburg, subjected to monitoring and attack from their enemy the Phaendir all whist being filmed for the reality show Faemous.

Under his order, she must find the last piece of a powerful relic. Her species of fae is so elusive that no one knows her secrets anyway so she feels safe in being able to keep the pieces hidden from prying eyes.

Charlotte has information locked in her maternal line that the Fae needs to obtain the last piece of the bosca fadbh. Anya Bast never disappoints. Bast’s writing packs a punch, offering humorous lines even in the blackest moments.

The love story was pretty formula you can guess the endingbut I still enjoyed it. The pl I liked this book better than the previous two books, but the Gideon story line is so tired. Jun 02, Kaarina rated it really liked it Shelves: Despite herself Charlotte finds herself softening towards the fae and once Kieran works his Dream Wraith Magick on her she finds herself sympathetic to the fae cause and wanting to help them out by letting them into her brain. Bast designed her story this way.

I won’t reprise the storyline, as you can find that in plenty of other places. Even if that does cover the basics. We got to know the man behind the magic, not just the exterior he projects to others but the depth of caring which dwells in his core. Under his order she must find the last piece of a powerful relic. For she alone holds the key to the other piece of the bosca fadbh.

Dark Enchantment (Dark Magick, #3) by Anya Bast

Bast does a good job of informing readers about details from earlier stories necessary for understanding the overall plot. May 28, Dragonwolf Feller rated it really liked it.

Return to Book Page. I hate the female lead a little in the end for her very very late redemption.

Finally some serious ass-kicking of the Phaendir and Summer Queen and happily-ever-after for our enchantmfnt couples. She’s happy to finally be making a career out of it. Feb 15, Juju rated it it was amazing.

The females just seemd immature compared to the males. Definitely one of the good To tell you the truth I started reading this book when I was kind of sick of reading, especially sick of reading enchantjent paranormal romances and that’s why it took me so long to finish it.

LitFlash The eBooks you want at the lowest prices. The involvement of the three sisters was a bit depressing though. Bast props for writing a story that captures my attention and I want to know where we are going.

There is a bit of a cliff hanger ending, book 4 had better wrap everything up. I found mysellf more My thoughts on this particular book are a bit disappointed Elizabeth is a very rare form of fae. When you learn her reasons why she is hiding what everyone else needs you understand and wonder what bsst would do.

The obnoxious Summer Queen and vile Amberdoyle ultimately get what they deserve, but it is not as satisfying as it could have been. They play cat and mouse as he tries enchantmennt fails to catch her. This is because an ancestor of Charlotte’s holds the clues nast finding the artifact and the fae feel by delving into Charlotte’s past and her ancestor’s memories they can find where the last artifact is buried.

I have enjoyed reading this series from the beginning and I think that this is the best book so far. Having met the hero in her dreams, the dzrk is furious when he compels her with magic to travel across the country into Fae lands to be his captive. Charlotte is of course afraid enfhantment what will become of her.

Dark Enchantment is a wonderful read and now that the war between the Phaendir and the fae is coming to a head, I am seriously looking forward to finding out what happens. In a land of magic, can love defeat a curse meant to destroy love? He forges a bond with Charlotte through her dreams and uses his gift to compel her to do his bidding daek travel to Piefferberg.
