Did it ruin the series for me?

I enjoyed this book but I think the series should have ended on the last book as this one seemed pretty unnecessary and didn’t add much to the overall series. I was surprised as I kalorie reading this book, half-tempted to call Jude a ‘mama’s boy’.

Tobey was a great character in all except his weakness for Callie, who was as annoying as ever.

Double Cross by Malorie Blackman book review

Open Preview See a Problem? I still found this book gripping but feel it lacked the whole theme running through the other books. He then tells douvle that he plans to use her baby to hurt her.

I stood corrected at the end as the ending was imperfectly perfect with a dramatic ending which could well lead into another book, whether it be Callie, Tobey, or as I think could possible happen, Dan. However,I would have loved to see more Sephy,Meggie and Callie.

May 29, Sarah rated it it was ok. I wanted more for her. I didn’t really feel as though this story was connected with the three books before it and I felt some what disconnected.

Tobey’s deepening involvement with the two warring gangs and his attempts to play them off against each other cause him to bloody his hands. And maorie the time, in the very fabric of this world that is so close to contemporary urban life, is that inspired reversal of the racial power balance between the Crosses and Noughts.

This book dpuble a character who is completely irrelevant in the rest of the books and his story was very uninteresting and didn’t leave me with anything.

Double Cross

Explosively page-turning, dramatic and full of relevance for our world today, Double Cross is Malorie Blackman’s fourth novel in the award-winning Noughts and Crosses sequence. And he, too, nurtures strong desires for Callie, but finds it almost impossible to open his heart. In the epilogue, it is revealed that both Callie and Tobey go to university to study law and that Tobey has set up and helps fund the Meadowview Shelter to help those with drug and alcohol addictions.

I was sad that the trilogy didn’t end with Checkmate. A very close doublw in the series after Noughts and Crosses. Notify me of new comments via email.

P Crows am a total fangirl and you will get random posts from me. Since then, Sephy and Callum’s friendship has been secret. Jude takes Callie Rose to Kamal’s house.

Double Cross (Noughts & Crosses, #4) by Malorie Blackman

What he has no Toby is in love with his best friend, Callie. Email required Address never made public. He then hears Sephy shouting, ‘I love you’. Sephy and Callie Rose are only tangential presences most of the time, and the book hurts for their absences. The series takes place in coss alternate 21st-century Britain.

No one believes Sephy when she maintains that she was not raped. That angers Callum, but the two make up.
