Then his coming to terms and controlling himself in the face of his biggest fear, hits a you in the heart hard and is inevitably tear jerking. An excellent book full of excitement and thrill. The empire has expanded and has had to change or adapt to new rules and challenges which makes you realize from the characters perspective, that how the ‘good ol days’ where much simpler times which leaves you with this profound nostalgia. Not quite the same level as the earlier three books but still a very good historical adventure story.
I loved how the author portrayed the people, tribe life, and how emppire different nomadic tribes became united, not to mention how they became a strong and a fearsome people. So we get some decent set piece battles this book, but not as many as in the previous books with Iggulden leaving out some pretty major historical battles in favour of showing how the Mongols spread their cultural and economic influence out from their new Capital.
Solid historical fiction with continued detail around the Mongol reign. Giles Kristian Narrated by: Enjoyable book and good continuation of the series.
Refresh and try again. This was less silveg the people and more about This is the fourth book in the Conqueror series by Conn Iggulden. I like reading about how these women working together, overcoming one crisis after another, weathering all sort of plots, schemes and assassination. We’ll publish them on our site emire we’ve reviewed them. His son Lf has built a white city on a great plain and made a capital for the new nation.

Inevitably, he has to pit his skill against the naked blade of his greatest rival. Hamilton or Wilbur Smith. So, even if you are unalterably opposed to learning, you will still probably enjoy the book as long as you enjoy reading about the period in which it was set and the people responsible for changing the then face of the world. It is to this desperate land that Arthur returns, a man at once utterly human and truly heroic: It was already well established that Iggulden is incredibly well read with the historical aspect of the story and iggulren course with the extremely vivid battle sequences, but re “Time slipped like oil through his hands and he could not hold a single instant of it” Would you like us to take another look at this review? Really is a must read series.
I remember starting this series and thinking to myself just how little information we usually get about the Eastern cultures trough our educational system.
Although this series is clearly a group of novels, according to reviews that I have read by historians, it was meticulously researched by Iggulden and, as a result, I could not avoid learning a far amount about the period described. Which should be an exciting time filled with great generals, lots of warring and back stabbing. We appreciate your feedback.

It would have been interesting to know how everybody had reached their current state and the price paid for success or clnn but while I will go back and read those other novels at som Would I have bothered to start reading this book if I had realised it was book 4 of a series? But Ogedai has mysteriously delayed his coronation ceremony to complete a fantastic project many deem a folly: This is the fourth novel in the Conqueror series, continuing the saga of the Khan empier.
He came across as believable: The book is kind of spotty until Part 3 and chapter This has been a great Historical Fiction series that I have enjoyed so much.
