The plot largely follows a single line and doesn’t often wander into “sub-plots” like in the previous part of the series, which I really welcomed, especially because the main storyline was worth following. I was interested in the disappearing werewolves, and I like learning more about being a werewolf as Sophie learns. She’s a successful yea! This is a little spicier than her other series The Gray Whale Inn mysteries–another great read! Karen MacInerney did not disappoint! Add to Watch list Watching. Little by little Sophie is being prrowl further and further into the paranormal world.
She may me a magnet for trouble but she’s also one for swoon worthy men. Instead of likable, she is starting to seem a bit shallow. Learn more – opens in new window or tab.
Overall the plot is kind of coincidental and Sophie’s weird adventures just happen to interfere. The packs in Texas have learned about Sophie and they’re hot on her trail. I hope there is more substance and less drama in the next book. Excellent and Strange Mystery Series. I loved the story and the author is a comic genius, I found myself, quite frequently I might add, falling out laughing.
If she doesn’t find a way to get them to back off, the next full moon could be her last. Didn’t finish, although I did read the ending. As Sophie gets dragged into that unknown world, with a culture and hierarchy all its own, she struggles to make sense of all that she thought she knew.

After finishing this book, there was never any doubt in my mind that I was going to read Leader of the Pack but it’s always nice to get a little more incentive. The writing was good and the author did This is book 2 in the Tales of an Urban Werewolf series; I didn’t read book one.

I am fairly sure that someone who was an aunt in the first book was called a mother in this which just made me stop and forget about the story for a while.
I knew Mark was weird. There is so much craziness going on it is no wonder she bumbles around.

Have one to sell? There is also a scene with a horse that is really quite funny. I felt like it ended too quickly and left too many threads hanging, but since I had the next book Leader of the Pack ready and waiting in my Nook I was able to overlook those issues in hopes that the author cleared the majority of them up in the next book. This novel took me all of 24 hours to read.
