It always continues to amazing me how much I enjoy Lauren Barnholdt as an author. Although there are a few things I would have hoped for, I definitely recommend you check out The Thing About the Truth. Which was, you know, months ago.

I mean, who cares about dumb Cooper and dumb Brown? Return to Book Page. We are available for presentations, seminars, and consulting on a limited basis.

I thought this book flowed pretty well, and it was paced slowly at the beginning and began to pick up quickly at the last quarter of the book. That said, the story is really just about these two kids who start dating and their first fight.

Pursue her anyway, of course! Seriously, it was all his family could talk about.

But Kate used to go missing the time, and most of the kids at my school have gone at least once kisssing twice. But as the story proceeds they start skipping school together and just hang out. Well, that’s how i understand it anyway. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Oct 21, Debbie Narh rated it did not like it Shelves: I do plan on trying more of this authors work at some point.

Her secret was out, and Isaac was very mad at her for lying. Overall, Through to You had a nice simple plot that followed both Harper and Penn’s relationship.

Can Kelsey move on in a healthy relationship with Isaac while attempting to conceal the truth about her past? That doesn’t do anything to make him any less attractive for Brynn who is supposed to be brokenhearted. I saw it coming. As for the storyline, I think it had a nice flow and very compelling. I only kept reading because I wanted to know why Harper ended up in the bathroom crying. He does not act like a bad boy, or a bad student.

I don’t know that Penn thought that he was in love but he started getting all possessive and crap over Harper, so it was definitely more than someone should have felt after one kiss a couple of hours after you meet a person. Back and forth points of view with hilarious, pitch perfect transitions. I’ve always believed that telling the truth is key. Kesley – she’s pperfect you’d love to hate in your local high school.

One of my favorite things about life yes LIFE are the contemporary YA writers that put out great book after great book. barnnholdt

Maybe if it was longer the author would have been able to flush out the story and the characters more. The extremely short story was cute and had humor, I wish it was more developed and longer since it was hard to really get to know the characters with such a short plot, there really was not much of a climax.

One Night That Changes Everything

They argued, wouldn’t speak to each other for weeks at a time, played games with their feelings, and then claim to really like each other after all of that.

The Thing About the Truth by Lauren Barnholdt

Nevertheless, I really liked Kelsey and Isaac together. Is it just me or does this party seem a little out of control with far to much drama going on?! If Brown was even around then. Thus Kelsey and Isaac become the leaders and founders of the new group — spending more time together than either of them would have hoped for.

Honestly, I relate to Harper a lot – we’re like, the same person. He talks about how women are just bad drivers like it’s a fact. My two favorite characters were Chloe and Marshall.
